RICK FISCHER attended Columbus Tech and Franklin University studying in Design Engineering and Computer Science. He worked at Jeffery Dresser as a computer programmer to support his college costs. He began his career thirty five years ago with an established marketing company as an account executive covering three states. The lines included Dow Jones Inc., Datavue Computers, Maxon Electronics, Velbon International, Maxell Corporation, Clarion Car Stereo, Hitachi, and Panasonic Personal Computers.
After successfully establishing a career in electronics sales representation, he foresaw the rapidly expanding market in consumer electronics. Rick's technical background and aggressive selling attributes, coupled with his marketing expertise led to the inception of MICRONICS, INC. in 1983. Micronics started by establishing a strong dealer, mass merchandiser and distributor base, and staying abreast of the changing industry requirements. The company's five year business plan was to reach 10 million dollars in annual sales and in 1988 that was realized.
From Micronics inception, and the original business plan goal, we have continually and steadily increased our growth over the past thirty years. Micronics enjoys strong relationships and the long term continuity with all our customers. The reputation of a solid and respected marketing company has been well earned and we look forward to the opportunity to serve your organization as well!
